I'm looking for some holiday gift advice for my dad. I'm pretty sure he's going out to get the verizon razr now that its available before the holidays. Now I'm scrambling for ideas. I was thinking that I could get him a bluetooth dongle for his TiBook since it doesn't have built in BT. What would he be able to do with this and his new Razr? (I think hes running 10.2.x). If this has worked for others with the Razr, what brands should I look at? Thanks.

Its a great combination

I have a Razr and several bluetooth Macs, they work perfectly together. Syncing, uploading and downloading to the Razr, changing ring tones... the only thing I have not yet figured out is mobile dialing (ie using the Razr as an Internet access point). There are even free Java games (.jar) all over the internet (most are so so, but some are good).

THere were some retailers selling the DBT-120 (which is the only one worth considering, full Mac support) for $19.

Careful about the X version he is running, I think for full support he would ne 10.3.9 or 10.4.x

Thanks for the info. If anyone else has had experience with a BT Mac and a Razr, I would appreciate any other advice.

I do not have the RAZR, however I have the Motorola V551 which is pretty nice. I believe there is a program called (SailingClicker) in which you can use your phone as a remote. This would be really cool to use in itunes.

The only problem I can foresee with my phone and the RAZR is they are flip-phones so using them as a remote might get kind of annoying.
