i really need to think of something i want for the holidays........i have a powerbook, an isight, 500gb external HD, external monitor, ipod nano, good speakers, digital camera.....im thinking about the 5g ipod, but 60gb really isnt enoguh for me.....i can afford to wait until the sumemr which is when the 80gb will be out by.....if not ill be pissed........ i dont really want to ask for money because i make enoguh for online poker.......im just thinking about asking for apple store credit so when the 80gb 5g does come out i can get it........any other ideas?

EDIT: I am in college, so maybe something along those lines. And I have bought everything but the iSight with my own money.

i think the 60GB is a huge amount - how big is your iTunes ?

trade up to the 60GB iPod with Video and you will be a happy bunny :)

i prefer to have all my music with me....because the only time i used the 40gb was when i was driving, and since im at college now i can afford to wait since im not driving for the 60.....now i have the nano for walking to and from classes and thats fine but when i drive i like having all my songs with me

and believe me, im waiting for that mac mini media center hub to come out.....i am DEFINITELY getting one of those...so sweet in the dorm room...i cant wait for that

also, as for the playlists, i dont have any ......... i hate having individual songs ( i dont know why, but i never download an individual song...i buy the whole album) and probably about 30-40gb of my music is concerts...so i like to listen to those straight throw and not just 1 individual song from them

haha well perhaps......but i still have had numerous jobs, and most of my money has come from savvy investments (ie apple stock in 2003).......theres nothing like owning lots of stock in apple, then making money off of it to buy more apple products....its a beautiful cycle

Since you seem to already have everything, why not just ask whoever to help out someone less fortunate. Personally, my wife and I enjoy Giving Trees - where you are given a list of needs for someone you don't know and then you shop for them.

If its not your thing, I didn't see a Dual Layer burner in that list.

Well, I assumed people would figure you don't just buy for anyone, these charities target the needy. There are people out there that can't even afford to get their children gifts and its a difficult thing to explain to a child. I rather enjoy making someone's christmas day special, even if I don't know them.

Some people prefer otherwise - that doesn't make them any less of a person, they just have different priorities.
