I must say I really dislike when third party, in order to protect their own interest, start interfering with how the next technology should be like. It really irritates me.

In short, the company is bending over backward--and investing considerable technological resources--to make sure Hollywood studios are happy with the next version of Windows, which is expected to ship on new PCs by late 2006.

Don't think that the Mac platform will be exempt. If we want to play commercial HD content, this stuff will be in OSX too.
