Hi everyone...

I have a question or a issue with the home app and Homekit.

I recently added 2 iDevices in my house to control lights, when i was on iOS9 i tried to invite my wife to the "home" so she can have control also but whenever i sent her the invite she would never get it. I've tried all sorts things like log in and out of icloud on both devices, wiped the iDevice to start from scratch.

Fast Forward couple of weeks

I updated to iOS10 beta and fell in love with the HOme App. Everything is nicely laid out and easily accessible and not clunky like the iDevices App. After i had everything set up i invited my wife again and same result nothing. So last night i upgraded her to iOS10 beta thinking it should be fine now with the Home app and such but nothing. The strange thing is after upgrading her i tried sending a invite from her Home app and i get the invite but it doesn't seem to finish the invite process...it just Circles.

My question is...is this an Home App Issues or do you guys think its an individual phone/icloud issue?
Another question is - Once i haev Homeapp installed can i remove the other application that controls the device?

Similar issue with me too. I send an invite my wife gets the invite and nothing happens. I wonder if Apple turned off HomeKit for another user or this is a bug.

I want to say its an iOS bug...but i wish i tried to send myself a invite from my wifes one when we were on iOS 9. I'm going to probably try and reset all my idevices and try setting up using my wifes phone.

Are you sending the invite to her iCloud or iTunes email address? I'm running the latest iOS 10 Dev beta 7 and she is on iOS 9.3.4 and the invite worked perfectly for me and we both have control of the home.

I'm sending it to her iCloud account. Funny thing is after she sent me a invite and i accept it...it just sits on my home app and it circles like it never fully accepts it

I'm wondering the same. I don't have the third party app installed on my wife's and wonder if that's the issue with me.
yeah...i really dont know what this issue is. Its so strange, my wifes invites gets sent to me but it doesnt seem to full complete the invitation and i can't send any invites to her.

I dont have tvOS running on my ATV4. I can't see how that would make a difference with invites
I can't either but that's my setup.

Are you sending the invite from the home app or the idevices app? I think I sent the invite from the idevices app first, then the home app either updated automatically or I sent another invite from the home app.

I've sent it both ways via home app and idevice app. I've even went as far as wiping my phone and restoring it.

Maybe the invite is in her spam folder? Try sending an invite to yourself using a different email address and see if that works.

The only thing I can think of now is to check to see if the idevices app is enabled in the homekit privacy settings on your wife's phone:

settings-->privacy-->homekit--> "iDevices enabled"
and the iDevices App settings under: settings-->iDevices--> "Home Data" is enabled

i'll have to check it but i think they are enabled...
