Contemplating my start with HomeKit and a Schlage Sense smart lock. I have 3 exterior doors on my house. If I want to automate the securing of my perimeter, it seems I would need 3 of these lock sets - expensive & overkill? I have not implemented an alarm system yet so that is not yet an option (but perhaps a better one?). Anyone have any other ideas? What have others done?

It depends on how far you want to take the idea of “securing”. Motion or door/window sensors could be used in tandem with auto-locking door locks instead, if cost is a concern. That’s what I did.
