Thank you for your help ...
I'm renewing the LCD and Digitizer on a iPad A1822 for the neighbours grandson.
The replacement screen included a pre-installed home button.
I have got as far as installing the LCD and loosely connecting the digitizer.
Everything works bar the home button. (I activated the onscreen home button to carry out the tests)
As far as I know I connected the home button properly, trying to get the white line as close to the socket as possible and parallel to it.
The question is ... with the screen fitting a number of different models is it likely the included home button is unsuitable for an A1822 (The sticker on the new screen says iPad Air)
Should I change the home button for the original or go for a replacement screen.
Thank you
Ray
