Your best bet is to take the home page you want and add it as an icon on the phone's main screen. You can even put it on the dock where Safari was an put the Safari icon in a folder where you never have to see it.

Then use your home page to launch Safari every time.

Not perfect, but it's close.

I thought about that Small White Car but I actually want it for when I'm in Safari. Would be nice if they added it next to the buttons at the bottom.

Do people really use the home button though? Im all for simplicity and whatnot for the masses or whatever, but I never use it; mostly due to me not needing to visit a page after I already saw it.

Maybe again in a few minutes if I'm trying to catch every story or just a refresh or something, but I never need to go back, which is what I think is the reasoning here.

Why don't you try using another browser that supports it?I don't use Safari due to it feeling clunky and lacking of customization.

I would love to use another browser if I could make it the default browser that external links open up in

I couldn't agree more. I use a different one now for all of my browsing but the second I open a link to this site through email, it jumps straight to Safari.

Meh, I can live with it though. Safari isn't that bad. I just hate it defaulting to mobile all of the time.
