hi , today is my first day with my iphone and i love it.

one thing i have noticed has to do with the home button.

my home button isn't completely rigid. it moves around, ever so slightly.

most people won't notice it, but i have a keen instinct for these things.

has anyone else noticed this on their iphone?

thank you!

First, its a button, its physical so it has to have some play/clearance.

Second, I hope your not looking for perfection. The iPhone is a cheap, mass-produced phone. So being mass-produced you will find some bad ones. If its clearly a defect, call it in and get is fixed/replaced.

unity, thanks for your reply.

yes i understand it is massed produced, but i am just wondering if other people have this and then that why i don't have to return it if it is going to happen.

thank you!

Hi,

I noticed the same thing on mine, but I think there's nothing to worry about.
As say earlier, it's a physical button.

It would bother me. take it back and see what they say, compare it to floor models.

I did just that this weekend, b/c mine was slightly loose as well. EVERY floor model I tried had a home button that was slightly loose. Apparently, this is not uncommon at all. I even talked to one of the associates, who said his home button does it as well.

the newest 2007 models have a looser home button
the older 2007 models have a tight home button
