Is it just my phone, or is anyone else experiencing, that the press and hold home button for Siri is far more sensitive than it used to be on iOS 8< Seems to activate with a far shorter hold time.

Think Siri is a little bit obsessed with trying to help me.

Also sometimes the power button does the same for the power down menu.

Same for me, I do my usual press to unlock with fingerprint and Siri pops up, I press to return to home screen, Siri pops, up. I hit the power button for more than a quarter of a second and power down prompt pops up.

not having these issues. rough timings show it takes about 3/4 of a second to activate Siri for me which is long enough it should never been confused with a simple press.

by the way just to check with above poster, you only need to press the button quickly and then keep finger lightly on the button to wake and unlock with Touch ID.

Yes - I'm getting that too. Had it in 8.4 beta 3 as well though. Don't know if they've fixed it in beta 4 - bypassed that for iOS9.

Am I crazy or does this seem to happen more when the phone is upside down? It always happens when I pull my phone or if my pocket and click the home button to unlock it.

It's happening to me with the Power button as well. It's a really crazy glitch!

I don't get the apple pay coming up. But yeah it's way too sensitive, I've taken to hitting the side first.
