Hey!

I need some advice, got chocolate underneath my home button on my retina mini about 4 months and it was completely unresponsive until my step sister tried cleaning it with rubbing alcohol and now it works a bit better. I got some quotes to fix it since I can't send it to apple it's out of warranty, I've been quoted, $45, $85-$125, and $120. My wallet says go with the $45 fix, so my question for you more techie people is would it be a safe bet? I know the screen has to come off and everything to replace the button (if that's what needs to be done, my bro thinks they might just be able to clean it and pop is back out)

Completely depends on how bad the situation is. All I can advise is to be careful about counterfeit parts. Always use only genuine parts

Well get it fixed and next time use assistive touch to avoid situations lik this

I find it to be really annoying to use and it's always in my way when playing games no matter how many times I move it. I'll be going with the person that quoted me $120 just to make sure it's all good parts!

Good for u man and yeah u can use gestures to get out of apps if didn’t wanna use assistive touch

It broke again jeez! iPad fell on the floor and now it's loose. I'll try out gestures I had no idea about that option thanks!
