I'm looking for a home charging dock. It will be solely for charging. I won't be plugging it in to any computer directly. I'm having trouble finding something that interest me. Nothing too cheap, nothing too expensive. 50 bucks or so would probably be good price. Don't want to go too much over that.

So what home dock do you use ? Provide me some ideas. Thanks.....

I guess I should be a little more clear. I already have a wall charger. I want a dock to charge it in at home. A dock that sits on a table with the touch standing in the dock while it charges. My wall charger I would like to save for when traveling. I use my touch a lot, and find a dock would be more convenient for charging. For this type of product 50 bucks sounds reasonable. again not too cheap, not too expensive.

What kind of home dock are you using ?

The memorex iWake is pretty cool if you want more than charging.

I have and can recommend the Pure i-10 which also has a 3.5mm output for connecting to a stereo.

Well so far I really like the looks of that dock the best. I'm in USA though. That site is in UK. I've never ordered something from another country online.

So I'm not really sure how that sort of transaction can happen. If they ship to USA. Would my American credit card company pay them the converted amount ? Then credit card company charge me the US amount the conversion equals ? Is this common retail practice things being ordered online outside of your home country, and seller shipping it overseas ?

It is also on their US site (http://www.pure.com/us/products/accessory.asp?Product=VL-61119), but there's no stockists listed.

It's also listed cheaper on Amazon.co.uk (http://www.amazon.co.uk/PURE-i-10-Powered-Remote-Control/dp/B001HBIXSW) and play.com (http://www.play.com/Electronics/Ele...=tsid:11518|cc:|prd:8134722|cat:iPod+Speakers), so they may ship to the US if you can't find any there. Remember that bought from the UK it would come with a UK power adapter (their factsheet says it comes with UK, EU and Australian adapters), so you'd need an adapter plug.

If you order from abroad, the credit card company will convert the amount to your local currency at the current exchange rate (£30 is currently around $45.55). I'm a little surprised those docks aren't available in the US, although Pure is a British company.

There are a lot of different ipod docks around. You might want to narrow it down by telling us precisely what you're looking for.

if you want cheap: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001IYK7WS

a dock that charges iphone/ipod and battery back at the same time: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B002F9NSOO

a dock that also functions as a USB hub and memory card reader (this is my personal favorite): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001DQNAK2

if you're looking for a certain color: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B002USUKOQ

I hope this helps.
