Hi all
I'm planning to add a mac mini and some sort of network storage/back up to the house. We have a number of Macbooks backing up with a Time Capsule, but I'd like to leave this just to back up smaller amounts of business data.
I'd like to use the mini for home cinema and store all my ripped movies and itunes library on a separate network storage device.
I'm thinking of buying 2 x 2 TB drives and plugging them into the mini via firewire and USB. Then using Time Machine or Carbon Copy Cloner to back one up to the other.
I've a couple of questions:
1. Is this a sensible solution or do I need to be looking into RAID etc?
2. I'd like to sync the itunes library on the mini with (at least) one of the itunes librarys on the Macbooks. Is this possible? (I don't want to have to keep loading up new music on to all my devices)
Thanks!
