How gay does that subject line sound?

But hey, it's what I do each and every night. Tuck the kid into bed, kiss the wife goodnight and head downstairs to the man cave with my iPad.

Fire up the TV, turn on a baseball game and do my thing on my iPad. Check emails, Twitter updates, download new apps, update apps, check up on friends via Facebook, sports scores, play 18 holes on Let's Golf, catch up on the latest world news, glance at my stock portfolio, browse these forums... rinse, repeat.

Makes for a great, relaxing and productive evening! And all too convenient.

Sound familiar?

I just had the celtics and redsox in picture-in-picture on my 58" plasma and laying in bed surfing on my ipad. absolutely fantastic. Only problem now is I get frustrated using my iphone now. where I was OBSESSED with my iphone before getting the ipad. uh-oh. lol.

Whoa besides you kissing your wife goodnight it sounds like your too much into gadgets. Theres nothing like curling up with a women after a long day's work. They can do things the iPad will never do. :D

Hmm.... there's a ton of jokes I could unleash, but this is a family place.

:)

I'm jealous. I've got a 3G on order right now. I'm traveling this week, in a hotel, watching TV and typing on my Air. I have nothing to complain about.

I keep 2nd guessing myself on getting an ipad. There are things about the Air that I don't like. Mostly, after 10 min of a video the machine heats up so badly everything stutters.

Since, I travel so much, my Air is 95% entertainment and 5% work. I am pretty sure I'll be able to VNC back to my imac at work to do the 5% work. The ipad looks to be a better entertainment device.

Sure looking forward to getting one.

Scott I was in the same position. I dropped my apple laptop and exclusively went with an ipad for all mobile related tasks happy to report it has not failed me yet.

Highly recommend it.

By the way i have the wifi ipad i use my iphones 3g with mywi for on the go connectivity. HEAVEN SENT!!1

Solid point. Though by 10pm, she's in bed.. and if/when I join her, I hear - "that thing's too bright, turn down the brightness or get out!"
 
Since I am gay and female, I have to wave my finger at you for the gay reference but I will let you slide. ;)

Anyway, I think what you do is nice with your iPad. A lot of us do similar things at the end of the day and relax with our iPads. I do some of the same things you do except check sports scores. The iPad is just perfect for sitting back and chillin' :)

Don't feel bad. Using my wifes iPad this week to test if I like; well I really prefer my Air. I am traveling next week, and I think this will stay behind and my MBA will come with.

I just can't seem to get comfortable with working on this thing.

She has watched netflix on it and emailed, but I see her revert to her MB. This may go back. Not feelin the love.

Sorry to offend. FWIW, I love my gay friends (M & F) and even hooked up a cute F couple about 6 years ago and they're together to this day. Enough about that though, more about the comfyness of relaxing with an iPad on your lap and not only being productive on it, but also having fun in the process! And btw, I actually enjoy typing on this thing now.

I have to agree with you. While I find my iPad a pleasure to use for browsing the web, listening to music, email, browsing the web; the second I get the urge to do something productive such as editing files, downloading and managing data files, working with multiple files, images, excel sheets etc I quickly find myself reverting back to my laptop.

Has a lot to do with the OS on the iPad being such a one app at a time OS. And 4.0 just doesn't cut it either.

*******Until the day comes that the iPad home screen is a desktop with files folders and shortcuts to apps.*******

I'm sure the iPad will have an attachment for that soon as well. :D
