In the previous beta (or at least PB 1, didn't check on PB 2) the Home settings said you could use Apple TV 3rd generation or later. Now it only says 4th Generation have hey dropped potential support forn3rd hen TV as a Home Hub does anyone know?

I'm pretty sure it's always been 4th gen Apple TV. As that is the only one they are really supporting with software updates currently. And pretty sure the Apple TV requires tvOS 10.0 to work with the Home app. 3rd gen can't get that OS or even tvOS in general.

I agree with most of that. However the blurb for Home Hub did originally say 3rd Generation or later. And in fact this support document still says 3rd Gen or newer. I've taken a screenshot in case it changes.
