What is the difference between Microsoft XP Home and Professional? I have heard people recommending Pro, but I though isn't that meant for business users? Please help I'm confused!

There are features here and there that make Pro essential for business users but also pretty useful for the power user too. Pro has more features than Home so people tend to recommend Pro. When buying a computer from a shop it will usually have Home

Here is a simple chart from Microsoft:

Home Vs Pro

You can also do a Google search for: Windows XP Pro vs Home

Really it depends on your needs

mainly networking

The difference is mainly the networking options. If you just want XP on your Mac to run Window$ programs locally XP Home is fine for you.

i'd definitely second the "home if it's just to do light stuff on the mac." pro gives you some flexibility stuff and the appearance of looking like you are a pro:D
