I've been enjoying my iPhone, the interface is great. But I'm wondering, shouldn't the Home screen be orientation sensitive?

(pardon the horrible photo-chop. I actually did it in .ppt, yuck)

shouldn't it? That's rather subjective.

I suppose they could have chosen to make it reorient itself if they thought they wanted it to work that way, but they didn't.

It seems more like a design choice than an error to me.

the problem with making the home screen orientation-sensitive is that you'd have to make all the applications that way as well. weather, stocks, calculator and calendar could all really be done without. i think it's fine the way it is.
