Is there a way I can set up two different home screens and make them swap after a certain time of day and during weekends?

It is for example very convenient to have my work apps on the home screen during the day, but I, prefer otherwise during the evening. :)

Sincere question... What's significantly problematic with one Home screen page your work config, the next, that is, page two for evening? Unless you press the Home button/swipe up from the bottom again after unlocking, iOS brings you to the last Home screen page used. In other words, in the evening, as long as you don't swipe horizontally on the (second page) Home screen, you'll always be presented with your non-work app, folder organization.

thank you for your replay. My though is more of a home screen «mode» where not only the first screen, but all screens are different: mostly all work apps hidden.

but i can tell this is not a big issue for you. :)

If you use shortcuts app to create app shortcuts you can do what you're looking for. Google custom app icon ios.

Sorry for the possible confusion. I do understand what you're desiring. I was mostly wondering why that particular (workaround) method wouldn't suffice.

You can always suggest/request your specific function to/from Apple.
Under Feedback Type: select Feature Request.

🤔
I've put little time into Shortcuts, thus I'm mostly useless regarding that, but might it be possible to automate or otherwise easily trigger the following feature using Shortcuts? Seems like it would fit @erkro's need.

Here's how I would do it. Set up your primary home screen first (Home or Work) with the apps you want. Then do your best to fill in the secondary home screen.

Next go to shortcuts app and hit the + button to start setting up shortcuts for apps you need duplicates of.

1. +
2. Add action
3. Scripting
4. Open App
5. Choose the app you want to create a button for
6. Click the three dot menu button
7. Enter Shortcut name
8. Click Add to Home Screen
9. Chose picture to set as icon and rename then click add
10. Done.

You can always edit the Home Screen to hide specific home screen pages. You can have your "Home"/"Personal" apps on one page, and your "Work" apps on another, and edit to show/hide whichever depending on where you are.

Yep. Use any MDM. Most have a free tier.
Allowed/Blocked apps during time period or Home Layout with a schedule time switch or several other ways to accomplish the exact granularity you are looking for.
