There is the option for my own photos, color, etc. but there seems to be no way to select a gallery image as there is for the lockscreen.

Oftentimes I’ll do a photo for the lock screen and one of Apple’s swirly gallery images for the Home Screen. So strange this is not supported. I try to keep in mind technical or UI complications that the developers may face, but this is just a choice. I can‘t imagine why they limit this.
