I'm not sure whether anyone will be able to help with this.

Before I updated to 7.1.1, I had Activator set up so that setting my finger on the home key/sensor would take me home, and that a longer hold would bring up the app switcher. No pressing was involved, as I dislike actually pressing the home button all the time.

This no longer works now that I have updated, I'm not sure why...

In addition, the possible solution that I had come up with is not working either. Ideally I'd use the swipe up action to access the multi-center for Auxo, and touch the fingerprint sensor to go home. However when I set things up this way, touching the fingerprint sensor just brings up the multi-centre and stays there or immediately returns to the app that I was in. (Edit: I've uninstalled Auxo for now, it's just *not* working with Activator at the moment.)

So I guess I'm looking for a tweak that might work for merely *touching* the fingerprint sensor to go home? I tried doing some searching but I'm getting outdated info and I'm wondering if anyone else had a set up like this that's managed to get it set up again with 7.1.1.

Edit: Looks like it was actually VirtualHome, thanks to inselstudent!

I think there's a tweak called VirtualHome or something which might suit your needs

Edit: yea, it's called Virtual Home. Not sure if it's fully compatible with 7.1.x yet

Ohhhhh, I think that's what I had before! I was sure that I'd written down all my tweaks and reinstalled them, but apparently not. Thank you, I kept thinking Activator was the one that had been doing it before.

I used both on 7.06 haven't tried either with 7.1.2 yet. I remember I had to use the beta activator for the home sensor to work.

lol, yeah you need the tweak for it to work ;) :D

Well, Activator lets you set up touch to go home, it just doesn't work with touch & hold to bring up the switcher :) Having Virtual Home *and* Activator lets me have both.

Virtual home lets you go home and bring up the switcher without activator. Or it did on 7.06 haven't tried on 7.1.2...

Yes it's working on 7.1.2. I tried it when it first came out and couldn't get used to it. It took forever for it to respond and it was killing my battery. Anyways, I installed it yesterday cause I was bored. In all honesty, I am shocked at how much more responsive it is and how fast it registers the single tap. It is sooooo much better now than when it first came out. I am very pleased with it on 7.1.2.

Thanks for testing it I installed yesterday and I am surprised at how well it is running. Seems better on 7.1.2 than earlier iOS and minimal battery hit if any at all!

No problem. I am quite pleased with it as well. Every once in a while I forget I have it installed and press the home button. But other than that, it's working great. Shocking how much better it is now than when it first came out.

Is the battery life impact less with the latest update?

FYI, I just got home from work. I took my phone off the charger at 9:30am. It is now 9:00pm.

Today I had 2 hours and 10 mins of usage and 11 hours and 31 minutes of standby time. I still have 70% battery remaining. I think it's safe to say Virtual Home does not aggressively affect the battery. I should also note, when I am using my phone, I jump around between apps very often and therefore, I am constantly using Virtual Home. In all honesty, I am shocked at how much better the tweak is now.

As an aside, 7.1.2 is what iOS 7.0 should have been from the start in regards to the 5s and mini retina. This latest iOS has made a world of a difference for these devices from previous iOS 7 versions. Safari tabs no longer refresh every time I open one! Instead, it's almost impossible to remove them from memory! Haha

I agree, I'm really liking 7.1.2

How do you read the usage stats for your battery time since last full charge? Your picture says 9:02 pm and 11 and a half hours of standby. Is that since it was unplugged, or in addition to the 2 hours and 10 minutes of usage? In other words, unplugged at around 9:30 am or 7:20 am .. Just curious for a project in doing.

Also, I've used virtual home on 7.0.6 and loved it because it saves the mechanical button and it's fun. Just updated to 7.1.2 and still like it.

Home/Sensor tweak?

I think that virtual home is messing with my usage stats.

I'm not using the unlock feature.

Phone was off the charger at 7:00 am.

I unplugged it at 9:30am. Standby time includes usage time. So essentially what my screenshot means is that my phone has been off the charger for 11.5 hours (I started at 100%) and during that 11.5 hours, I have used my phone for a total of 2 hours and 10 minutes.

Hope that clarifies how to read those stats. You can access them via settings>general>usage.

Whoaaa! That is not right nor is it good. Wow that is really strange. I saw some recent posts on reddit regarding virtual home and the general consensus is that it's running great. But I'm sure there are individuals who are experiencing issues.

I really don't know why that's happening to you. I also have activator installed (although no TouchID event created) and iTouchSecure. They all play nicely together. I was afraid iTouchSecure and Virtual Home were gonna conflict but so far I haven't had a single issue between the two.

Sorry bro. That's really unfortunate.

No worries. I think that I figured it out. I left my hotspot on while leaving the house this morning.
