I have home sharing turned on for both computers, shtting on my desk. I am looking to get songs from one machne to the other.

The libraries show up on both machines but when I try to move songs I get a red circle with a slash and it does not transfer.

Any idea why not?

Thanks

Home Sharing is for listening/streaming purposes only. You cannot transfer music files over wifi. You'd want to turn on File Sharing in System Preferences (If you're on a Windows machine, just let me know, I could help you there too), and transfer the iTunes files over that way.

You can actually transfer music from one iTunes library to another with Home Sharing. Just enter the library you want to transfer songs from via iTunes. Then simply drag the songs you want to your own library.
