iPod Home-Sharing not working :(

ok so I have home-sharing on 3 of my computers. all to the same account. one 2 of my computers it isnt working (a windows desktop and a macbook) and on the windows laptop it is working. What am I not doing?!

You know what is weird, is that I re-formatted my drive a month ago, and hadn't set up a network. Beforehand, my girlfriends' PC and my computer were set up on a network.

Yesterday, she wanted to listen to some music on her computer, that I had on my computer. I remembered the "home sharing", and logged into my account from her computer, and it worked, no problems. I wonder why mine would work, and not the OP's. I haven't changed any settings on my computer, unless the router remembers the network...

the most annoying thing about home sharing is that when you use the 'remote' app on your iphone, it only lists the local media files on the machine you're connected to. it doesn't load up the shared files as well. completely pointless.
