I am trying to figure out the best way to play videos from my computer on my TV.

I know you can simply hook a cable from the computer to the TV, but I want the ability to play my movie/music/pic files on my computer on one of several TVs wihtout laying cables throughout my place.

The Apple TV doesn't do this, it only let's you stream Itunes things and I download a lot of stuff.
Similarly the Roku, doesn't allow this wireless streaming either.

I had heard DLNA, but I'm not really sure. So I ask the minds of Mac Rumors what's the best way to accomplish the goal of throwing video from your computer wirelessly to your TV.

Thanks!

I've used a LG BD570 BluRay player to stream from Mac or PC, NAS & AirDisk drives. Works great but it's not a slick Cover Art/Metadata type interface. Bland but effective for playing any media on the same network. Also has Netflix, Pandora, YouTube. etc.

P.S. 2011 LG BluRays & TVs will have Plex built in for streaming but Plex requires a server app running on your computer. DLNA does not.
