I'm a huge HomeKit fan, with hundreds of devices in my house to fit the style of my family of seven. I installed iOS 14 Beta 1 on my primary device (gasp) to see how the new features work. Spoiler: It all works great. But if you want to see a demonstration that shows how iOS 14 works with all the various HomeKit devices out there, look no further! If you have any questions, please post the below and I'll try to answer.

Nice video... I like how the rooms are in a list now when pressing the home icon. Before it was difficult to navigate through different rooms.

My Eero Pros are in HomeKit but don't show up in the rooms... hmm. still on iOS 13 though I don't think that should matter.

I wish iOS 14 added an Apps tab to HomeKit with the option for apps to appear in the app as a HomeKit apps library within the app.

thanks for the video all the iOS 14 reviews are people with zero HomeKit devices which is just mind boggling to me. How do these tech reviewers not use HomeKit if they have an iPhone and well a tech enthusiast?
I love that they added everything into the control center screen which was my main issue before with the 6 or so boxes you got with no scrolling. Having all your scenes and devices in that make it super convenient from any screen really to get into something fast.
Is there any widgets you can add to the home screen that can do HomeKit stuff?
Also, do you know if nest products will be added to HomeKit I think I read google is working with apple now so it should possible be added soon?

Mine don't show in the rooms either, they only show in Home Settings - Wifi and Routers. Then if they are supposedly (or actually) disconnected they show in status.

So far there are no HomeKit widgets at all! I am hoping for some, and if Apple doesn't then surely the third party developers will. I don't think Nest will ever be officially supported unless it adopts that open standard for future products that they have been discussing.

Thanks for posting this. I have a number of devices but nowhere near as many as you. Can you share any resources for using Homebridge with HomeKit? I honestly know nothing about it but would like to incorporate some of my non-Homekit compatible devices.
