HomePod just won't turn on. Is it dead?

So my original HomePod has worked flawlessly since we bought it and we use it everyday, however, it suddenly just died. It won't turn on or respond to touch or voice. The screen on top of off.

Is this dead? Is this an issue I can fix? Any ideas?

In the HomePod section there are a few people that have reported this and unfortunately there’s not a lot you can do about it

Even though it is out of warranty, it wouldn't hurt to contact Apple Support and see what they can suggest.
