HomePod HomePod Mini pair error

My Apple TV 4K uses a pair of home pod minis for sound output. When used for playing audio from my iPhone the speakers both work. The Apple TV has stopped sending sound to one HomePod mini. I reset both HomePods. The pair exists in the home app and can be identified as left and right.

Any advice on getting them back working again ?

This is bug from OS 16.6 that carried over. Waiting game now.

Out of the blue (and into the black) I tried the home pod minis and they are working again. I'm not aware of any updates happening. I have researched sound bars heavily in the past few days. Roll on black Friday.
