Has anyone tried to install a homepod mini using POE? Theoretically it should work, however I am having some trouble. As I increase the volume above 70% the mini shuts off abruptly. It works just fine up until about 70% volume.

I am using a 24-port NETGEAR switch (GS728TP - POE+) and 190w total power. It is the only thing plugged into the switch currently.

I think the power consumption increases too high when I turn up the volume. I am not sure if the switch is underpowered or if it's the POE to UCB-C splitter.

Here is the link to the splitter I am using.

Has anyone had any success setting up a HomePod mini using POE? What equipment did you use?

You could use a usb-c tester in between the device and the PoE power output and see the load being used. I suspect you are going beyond the 25w supported by the adapter you’re using.
