I am transitioning from a Sonos system to a HomePod setup. I haven't yet been able to figure out the best way to manage music in different rooms at the same time.
For example, I can initiate music in all of the rooms by saying "play X everywhere." But, when I try to change the music in only ONE of those rooms to Y, by saying "play Y" or "play Y in this room," it changes everywhere OR stops X on all of the other speakers when Y starts in that room.
How can I ungroup one of the speakers to play Y while continuing to play X in the remaining rooms?
A Siri command would be preferred, but even through an iPhone seems tricky. If I uncheck the speaker within the Airplay settings, it stops the music on that speaker, but still continues to keep it in the same group of speakers. I can't seem to find a way to only control that one speaker while continuing the music in the existing group.
Any help with effectively managing multiple rooms through Siri or an iPhone would be appreciated. Thanks!
