Anyone else HomePod is no longer working when saying commands that use to work. Like "Hey Siri, turn the living room lights off". Now it says "Sorry, I wasn't able to find anything like that this time".

Anyway to fix this?

Mine works the same way it did with iOS 12... no issues. Reboot the homepod?

I tried rebooting. I still get the same message. I can do everything from my Mac Book and computer. Home Pod says "Sorry I was not able to find anything like that this time". Very frustrating.

Same problem here. Reboot didn’t fix it. HomePod can still activate scenes but no more individual lights. Getting the same error as you describe.

I have found HomePod Siri to be pretty hit and miss on controlling lights etc over the last few weeks. Which is a pain as we have a fairly extensive setup, now.

I’ve reset my HomePod and controlling lights works fine again. It’s absolutely strange that this happens so many times. Siri on my iPhone/ iPad had no Problem controlling the lights at all.
it’s time for Apple to merge Siri on all platforms and not handle each individually 🤨

How did you reset it?

How did you reset it?

First: remove the HomePod from the home App via the settings (Long/Hard press on it and scroll all the way down).
Second: remove the power cable and put it back in after 5-10 seconds.

Last: while the HomePod restarts, keep holding down on the screen on the top. The animation turns red, keep pushing and follow the instructions by Siri.

This worked, thank you so much.

This! I had to walk a friend through this yesterday after he updated his iOS to 13.1.3.
