I have two Homepods that are setup as a pair

In the Home App, they show as a pair.

But when in Music or Podcast and I hit Airplay, they don’t show as a pair (I see each individually).

Any ideas how to correct this?

Anyone see this issue—Airpods that show as a “stereo pair” in the Home app, but separate when trying to stream music from any music app?

@YXKzUkTj Has the 2 HomePods always shown as a pair (outwith home app) in the past but no longer does? or is this a new set up and your curious if that is correct behaviour?

I don't have a stereo pair of HomePods, but I do have 2 HomePods in different rooms....however I was under the impression that a stereo pair would show up correctly in the home app and play as a stereo pair when playing something through the HomePod natively......but if your using a IOS device as the audio source and choosing an airplay target then each speaker would show up separately and allow you to choose any or all of them to play through.

I’m getting the opposite. I have two HomePods set up separately but they’re acting as a stereo pair. This happened since the 13.3.1 update a few days ago.

@Itinj24 That is strange...I would remove them from the home app and reset them to start over.

Also, just out of curiosity...did you update the HomePods at the same time with the home app, or did you do them one at a time? I done mine one at a time.

I just replied to you in the other thread and I mentioned exactly this. They updated together when I was meaning to do them separately.
