Hi, everyone.
Every day, I ask my HomePod to play a radio station. Usually with zero issues.
On occasion, it starts playing but turns on the AppleTV and therefore the TV as well.
The HomePod isn’t set to airplay to the TV/ATV and the Home app shows both ATV and the HomePod as ‘playing’ when of course they aren’t.
The only time they’re linked is when I’m watching something on ATV and outputting audio to the HomePod (other way around!). This has to be reset almost every time because it reverts to using the TV as a speaker.
The other thing I’ve noticed is the HomePod and ATV sometimes switching states in Home - HomePod is usually ‘Connected’ with ATV in ‘Standby’, but sometimes they switch for no apparent reason. At that point, I’m almost certain the HomePod takes requests more slowly.
Really appreciate any help with this. Could just be that it’s a bug but it’s very annoying!
Thank you,
Ste
