Stick with me on this . . .

I have pretty much all my DVDs (TV shows and movies) converted and stored on an external hard drive - which is connected to my iBook G4 (oldie, but goodie).

Anyway, I was using my iPad yesterday to homeshare an episode of LOST. I then moved to the bedroom where I have an ATV2, I thought I could just airplay it straight to the device, but it would only let me do sound.

Of course, I just pulled up the episode on the ATV2 itself, thinking that it would ask me if I wanted to continue where I left off. No dice. It started playing from the beginning.

I'm thinking it has to be some limitation of some sort - having to homeshare then airplay. When I view a video that is stored on the iPad it airplays no problem. But I thought I'd take a flyer and see if anyone here has got it to work.

I've noticed this as well. I figure the reasoning is that if you're using home sharing on your ipad, you can use home sharing on the atv 2 to watch the same files.... BUT you're right about the 'resume playback' not working. I've noticed as well that if I watch a video using home sharing on my ipad, it will still show as 'unwatched' on my computer. I wonder if that is just somethat that needs to be tweaked/was over looked or if it was an intentional decision.

Thanks. For the response.
