Registered to join the insider program to test the Magic V3 here in the UK. It was just delivered 😂

Ironic cause I already have the China version in that lovely red leather. The global version delivered is the green colour which was my 2nd choice colour too lol. Gotta go work... Ooh the pain. Can't wait to test it. Also have the Z FOLD 6 which I really like too, the software king, will be testing against that too.

Global version is FCP-N49
China version is FCP-AN10

There's a pic of the red China version sitting on the UK versions box which still remains unopened. Got the Pixel 6 pro XL unopened too which was delivered yesterday and the Pixel 9 pro fold coming next week. Overwhelmed here lol

thats crazy! any indication on retail price yet?

interesting how the Global has 12Gb RAM instead of 16Gb the CN model has.

the V2 global also had 16Gb RAM

is there any embargo on this? or are you free to do what ytou want with it?

I've heard nothing regarding embargo but I'll deffo make sure.

Yes it is odd it's only 12gb. Money saving exercise probably.

No indication of retail price at all unfortunately.

No embargo. If fact the terms are you must show off the device online in some form lol

£1699 uk price it seems. Ouch! Still a bit cheaper than their competitors

I guessed it would be somewhere around that - they have a £300 voucher if you join the v3 mailing list which helps (a bit!)

I wouldn't find it odd.
Chinese model may just need that much more ram. Whats the value in bytes for one Chinese alphabet character vs English character?
What's thr typical size of an application running onceaunched with vs without cache cleared?
FYI we have NO app comparable to WeChat and all it's features functions and capabilities - only separate apps. So how much does that app aline consume in ram for optimal performance? Just about every Chinese citizen using a smartphone probably uses that app first and foremost I'm guessing.

Good price from here: Average Dad

No extra’s, just the handset. Possibly worth hanging on to see what the official UK price is first though, but I’d be surprised if they beat this.

I’m not sure this is it, it’s more likely Honor (annoyingly but understandably) wanting to make a bit more money and not wanting to mass manufacture lots of different handset variants. 12Gb is disappointing but is plenty, plus you can get it to 16Gb through their virtual RAM feature anyway.

@Lawtq - any thoughts or impressions from your v3 global edition?

I'm loving the phone, testing many at the moment though and there's never enough time in the day.

No real difference at all from the China version apart from the obvious android auto, and watch compatibility and so on, although a workaround is there for the watch.

Great battery life. Might be the best signal I've ever seen on a phone too 🤔

A quick battery test, nothing substantial

Unsure why the battery level from the start was not shown for all?

Considering how "heavy OneUI 6.x is like pregious versions are I'm quite impressed.

Also the iPhone, Nubia is using its outer display while the others inner display which has a higher resolution and more pixels to drive meaning higher battery usage throughout the tests; seemingly unfair or skewed. I dislike such variances in battery tests like this.

Same price as the Galaxy Fold Z 6. 2k in Germany!

It honestly feels like they all intentionally charge so much, in order to add some promotion to bring it down to what it should actually be costing. So silly. In this case it is 300€ less with a promo code.

This looks so great. Big time shaft here in the U.S. No bands 12, 66 (5g), 71 make it a paperweight for me. :(

Got one in Cambodia.1500$ with phone cover and wireless charger included. Amazing phone. I used to have Samsung Fold V2 but returned it as it was by far too big, too heavy on a daily use.
I'll keep this one until V4 :)
