I have the app I am sure a bunch of you have. "I Am T-Pain" and have connected the iphone to my logitech speakers (took the wire off my laptop and into the iphones headphone port) but the program says "Sing into the headphone mic"...problem is the speakers dont have a mic and I wanted to use the iphones mic.

Is it possible?

You can try. I see no reason why not, unless the iPhone configured itself to use the same headphone jack as a mic-in connection.

In system preferences I can see that when i talk into the mic the mac is registering the sound because the sound bars are moving but no sound...and yes my speakers are on :D

I have the same program, so much fun for $3

just hold the iPhone like you are making a phone call and talk into it at a normal volume ( it will distort if you sign too loud)
