I am trying to use my ipod through my work laptop speakers (a computer which i am not allowed to download any type of program what so ever) I went out and purchased a double ended audio wire and cant figure out how to use it. My computer is only equipped with Windows media player 11. Any Suggestions?

I think the possible way to do it would be to download iTunes... but it seems that is not a viable option, so I think you are stuck.

But I'm sure you could get some separate speakers really cheap.

I don't see any way to do this at all unless you can plug it into a line-in port on the PC and then go to the Volume Settings in the control panel and somehow have it do a live passthrough to your speakers. Try unmuting the Line-in port in your volume control if it will let you.
