Hooking my Mini up to my stereo

I'm wating on the Intel Mac Mini I got off of eBay for a real good deal. I have a stereo in my room which is connected to surround sound. It would be awesome to get Front Row through the stereo. The stereo has a USB port where I can hook it up to my computer, but the two systems are across the room. My question is since the Mini is bluetooth and air express built in, can I get an adapter (preferrably cheaper than the airport express) or something to connect them wirelessly?

I've not heard of any Bluetooth, WiFi, or USB audio transmission system that you could use to get sound from one side of the room to the other. However, there are wireless stereo audio transmitter/receiver packages that you can get at Circuit City, Best Buy, etc. The transmitter has two RCA audio ins (red and white), and the receiver has two RCA audio outs. You connect the audio ins to your Mac mini's headphone jack (using a 1/8" stereo plug to dual RCA adapter) and the audio outs to your stereo's audio in (using standard RCA cables). Total package should run around $50, I think.

Get an Airport Express. Plug it in behind the stereo. Setup the network on it with Airport Admin Utility. Run either a RCA to minijack or optical audio cable between the 2. Use Airtunes in iTunes to stream to your stereo. I use it all the time, and when I want music outside, I pause the music, unplug the Express, plug it in outside, plug a set of old computer speakers into it, and start the music again and voila, music in the backyard. I don't know if Airtunes is supported by Front Row. You might want to read up on it, or call Apple.

The AirPort Express and BeoLink Wireless (B&O solution) are the only really good sounding wireless systems I've heard...

If I were you I'd just get a long audio cable and run an analog signal around your room...

If you want surround sound then you need to use a optical cable, otherwise applications like DVD player wont output a DTS or dolby digital signal..
