Hope this is the place for this - looking to streamline this process (photo xfer/edits)

I hope someone can help me with something. I want to see if there is a way to streamline this process.

I’m gonna try to explain as simply as I can.

Someone in another state uploads pics for me into a shared file (I think from her Mac). I access shared file on iPad Pro (10.5 - all software updated). I save files to photos. I then make a file on the drive and save them into that file. I then make an album and save them into that album, which is where I edit photos and remove any duplicates.

At that point, for now while I’m just learning, I copy the edited ones back into a shared file for her to open and check.

When I get the all clear, I copy files to a flash drive, plug that flash drive in on a cheapo laptop, then connect that to a large photo printer and print out the pics.

Is this the most efficient way to do this?

I sort of got lost because you seem to use the word "file" where "folder" should be.

But overall I think what you're doing is about as efficient as you can get with an iPad, since printing from it seems to not be possible in your case. But there is software that can run on some "cheapos" attached to printers so that it can act as a print server, sort of. Like Printer Pro, https://readdle.com/printerpro

Yeah the whole folders and files thing has me confused a lot of the time, and I should probably be calling the photos “photos” instead of files to lessen the confusion.

This particular printer was apparently supposed to work with Apple products, but doesn’t, and it’s a photo printer that uses rolls of photo paper then prints/cuts. I don’t know if those types would even have an air print option.

Would it be more streamlined if I were accessing the photos from the cloud on a MacBook or something, then editing and printing directly from there? Although, again, I don’t think we can go from the Mac to the printer, so that’s probably moot.

I've never seen a printer that claims to work with "Apple products". They usually claim by OS (e.g. macOS, Windows, ...) and OS version number/name. Mac compatibility is not iOS (read: iPad, iPhone, ...) compatibility. The only printers that I've seen that have any iOS support are those that support "AirPrint".

Yeah I used incorrect wording. I think she expected it to work with a Mac or MacBook and it didn’t, so she wound up having to improvise.
