It's been stuck on its current configuration for the previous few years. Hoping they'll up the storage tiers. Particularly 200GB doesn't really cut it anymore, and 2TB is too much — hoping for either an increase of 200GB to 500GB, or a 1TB tier.

Thoughts? (and yes, I know, Apple is at it to make money)

I would agree that Apple needs to adjust the tiers, at least for my personal needs. They're all either too little or too much (storage amount). I don't care what the price is, but I have certain needs, and Apple's tiers don't fit them — and I want them to, because the thought of going with some convoluted system of other backup companies, or even Dropbox, just doesn't appeal to me.

Completely agree. I’m currently at the 200gb tier and maxed out. With a 50gb iPhone backup and the rest is mostly photo/video backup through Photos app, I’m at the point where I can’t sync photos anymore and pretty much can’t backup either. Very frustrating that the next tier up is such a large jump to 1TB. What do you guys do in terms of photo/video storage and backup??? Do you offload bigger files off the photos app and not back them up? With the higher quality 4k standards now, even with better encoding, it’s just filling up so fast.

I just got the family 2tb plan. Between my wife myself and my mother in law we use 394gb. For $30 a month along with everything else we get it is nice to set it and forget it.

If you have Apple One, you can combine the 200GB tier with an additional plan. I have 200GB + 50GB:

I kinda doubt they will do this, as it will cost them money.

For example, I have a 2TB plan because I have 288GB in iCloud. If they suddenly increased the 200GB plan to 500GB, I would immediately downgrade. I'd certainly be happy about it, but can understand why Apple wouldn't.

They'll probably leave the prices like they are for a few more years and let inflation slowly make the plans "cheaper".

What do you mean by additional plan? How much does it cost you for the 250gb?
You can do Apple One AND add additional storage. So you can get Apple One + 200GB for a total of 400GB.

So I pay for the 2TB (see bottom) - and I can add 50, 200, 2TB if I wanted on TOP of the 2TB.
