Horizontal LINES: In system message Panels

Hello to all,
I thought I'd ask you... to see if anyone has come across this anomaly.

I have weird horizontal lines showing up in all System Message Panels....
which I assume is caused by something I have installed (plug-in maybe) or
an App thats not quite compatible with 10.5. Thing is, I don't know which is the culprit...
or where to start looking for it ?

I've noticed that under another User Account... this problem does not exist ??

Can anyone suggest how to fix this ?

Wow... I've had completely the same problem for over 6 months now. I thought it was just my monitor slowly dying. It's an original 22" Apple Cinema Display (ADC connector) connected to a PowerMac G4 933Mhz running 10.5

If there really is a fix for this I'd be super-happy...

very strange indeed.

it seems like some installed software is causing it... you should both match up the apps and plugins you have installed and try to find the culprit...
