Host your email address for your site through google?

I currently use an ISP called startlogic, that allows me to use 2-3 domain names with the same account. the problem is it only allows you to use webmail with on of the domains on the account. I want to be able to create email addresses with the other domain names without having to but a secondary account and i was told that i could create email addresses for those domains through google without having to do so.

Thing is i don't know how to do that. if anyone knows can you tell me? or alternatively help me with some solution to my problem. Maybe there is another ISP that can solve my issue. Thanks
 
you should probably call your hosting company. (just a thought?)

you may be able to get email service from your domain regsistrar (if different from your host)

you could also buy more webmail, use email forwarding, or sign up for gmail/yahoo accts.
 
This is possible with Google Apps. Basically, you have to forward your domain's MX record to point to Googles mail servers and they host your email accounts for free. You can create as many as you want and each one has a few gigabytes storage. Best of all, it comes with the Gmail interface, possibly the best web-mail client ever.

That's what i'm looking for. thanks. is it possible for you to give me more detailed information on how to do that?

I don't think so, sorry. (Edit: I think Gmail might have a POP3 mail fetching feature, and I know it has a forwarding feature, so you could have some level of integration at least.)
 
So I can put my own domain on my gmail account and it will sync/stay active with an iphone? like Microsoft exchange?

I couldn't say for sure since I don't have an iPhone, but I don't see why not. GMail has POP3 capability, so you'd be able to send/receive email on your iPhone.
 
This is the set up I use. Google Apps is great. The major downside is that the pop3 mail barely works with mail.app or the iphone. I had to setup gmail to forward all mail that goes to a yahoo account which is picked up by my iphone. It's clunky. Gmail is great, if you like browser based email clients.

I've never had an issue setting up Gmail with Mail, I don't expect it would be any different on the iPhone.

listen mine works perfect with mail. but doesn't work with the iphone at all. the phone keeps saying it can't find the gmail server pop.gmail.com. I haven't recieved one message from it. Its strange because i have a gmail account that uses the same server and it recieves mail fine on the iphone. How do i get my google apps account to work on my iphone.
