Anybody have any suggestions for a reliable and fast hosting service. Preferably something that doesn't break the bank. I currently am using StartLogic, but the site is so slow to load, it's becoming ridiculous. We've also had major issue with emails going through.

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Oh and I'd like the server to have MySQL and PHP.

Thanks in advance.

I've used Eleven2 for years. Their IM customer support is fantastic, and you get all the Control Panel admin stuff.

Stay away from iPowerWeb, whatever you do; that company sucks big time all the way around.

which of these hosting companies has an idiot proof easy to use webdav "internet disk"?

i would like to be able to share documents with coworkers and they are not too computer savvy. it should work like apples idisk but with easier access from every webbrowser. apples idisk has this weird url and log in procedure. also you can only manage .mac from a mac.

Most hosts that runs cPanel 11 come with an excellent WebDisk system.

A Small Orange are pretty good and do what you want...

I second A Small Orange. They are more expensive than the competition, but the support is top-notch. Right now I am exchanging emails with them because my blog went down when upgrading to the newest Wordpress, and the response has always been fast and helpful. In cases like this is when you know that the extra money you pay is well worth it.

For email, though, I use Google Apps. It is free, and you get Gmail's interface in your own email domain. :D

Thanks!

Thank you all for you suggestions, I really appreciate it. I'll look into them this coming week. I've checked out Small Orange and it looks quite good. How's page response time with PHP/MYSQL? I've been using Joomla, but may switch to CMS Made Simple because of the hassles during upgrades and patches. However, I don't want to start a CMS war. :)
