Can anyone help me in setting up proper way to open the correct ports to host custom warcraft 3 matches? I am not really all that good with networking and every place i have looked have had the older airport directions but not the extreme.

I would like be able to host on my G5 running Leopard or my PC running Vista. Any help is appreciated.

I haven't used that game, but I've hosted many others. Off the top of my head:

Is your AirPort connected to a router (which may need to have ITS ports opened, instead of opening them on the AirPort) or just to a cable/DSL modem (in which case you probably do need to open ports on the AirPort)?

The AirPort utility has its own built-on search at top-right. Search for Port Mapping--if it doesn't appear then your AirPort is not where the ports need to be opened. If it DOES appear, enter the relevant ports (Public and Private are the same) and the host machine's IP address, as reported in System Preferences > Network > AirPort. (NOT the same address reported by IP address tools online--that's the external address.)

Look here to find the ports you need: http://portforward.com/

And you may need to open the same ports (pre-Leopard) or add the game app (in Leopard) in the Mac's own firewall (System Preferences) if enabled.

I tried that but still no success. Anyone else have any suggestions on what to try? I have an Airport extreme with one of Comcast's modems and i am still unable to host on Bnet.
