How about thread, locked and controlled by an admin, that we can all subscribe to that advises when pre-order is available?

that way, even those of us who don't sit at our PCs all day can be advised by email when it has been confirmed that the phone is available for pre-order, and we don't have to keep rechecking and rechecking?

I'd say check the Apple Store immediately or a tad after the conference ends tomorrow eerrrrrrrrr today. I'd say, maybe 2 hours after it starts, seeing how a newcomer just popp'd up.
