I ask, because I use a program called "Papers" to organize the many PDF files of research papers. They also have iPhone and iPad apps to sync the PDF files onto the other platforms. I think it would be great to read papers on the iPad, but, unfortunately, the developers of "Papers" have yet to incorporate basic highlighting and annotating tools into their programs. On my MBP this is easily dealt with by opening the PDF file in a different program with those tools built in (ex. Acrobat Pro). However, I don't know if this would be possible on the iPad. An app exists that can highlight and annotate, but I don't know if it would have access to the PDF files associated with the Papers program.
Can two apps access the same PDF file on the iPad, as they can on a computer?
Does anybody know if this would work? I was playing with the program on a friend's iPad, and I'm really tempted to get one myself, but this is probably a deal breaker for me.
Thanks
