I have a 27 inch iMac, 2020 (retina 5k). How do I attach TWO external monitors to my iMac? (I will be using 2 VESA arms attached to my desk.) Does iMac support this and what type of extra hardware will I need to purchase?

Attach one to each of the two Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports. You just need the appropriate cables to connect to whatever ports you will be using on your monitors.

By using a thunderbolt 3 hub, you can attach MORE THAN TWO monitors to your iMac 2020. Provided that they are not high resolution monitors. (4k or lower is OK, 5k up are trouble some)
