I've heard rumors that inventory will be limited on the iPad Pro when it is available to order. Has this been the situation in the past with other iPad Pro models? I currently own the original 12.9" Pro and really want to get my hands on the new model asap. Does the Apple store open at a specific PST time online, like 12:01am, or is it typically at a certain time?

It’s beyond the knowledge of anyone not working in the Apple Store to foresee supply and demand. I would guess that this time around especially the big iPad Pro has received a big hardware update hence they will be popular for a peak time.

It will open 5AM PST, 8AM EST. They don't seem to do the 12AM PST thing any more, they've switched.

The global chip shortage might affect stock. If I were you, I’d be ready to pick one up immediately after they go up for sale. Otherwise, you may see shipping times slip by several weeks.

Is it best to "pick one up" in May at the Apple store, or order one online on April 30th?
