how bad did i screw up my iphone SE? i bought one like new on ebay, but sadly they gave me a non mfi cable and i didnt know about them. before the battery health showed 100% but I charged it like 4 times dead to full with that cable and the battery degraded to 95% and it had 1 failure.
got a mfi cable now, and it seems to work okay. I'm getting about 2.5 days from a full charge...is everything okay?

Ugh nothing its fine. I’ve personally never had problems I wouldnt worry about it. You might get an alert saying you can’t charge from time to time, so you have to plug in and out in and out to get it to charge. And cannot sync songs from you phone to computer. Just get an a cable on amazon from trusted big brands such as anker or aukey As a replacement but I would not be concerned about ruining your iPhone.

Cool yeah I got the amazon basics MFI cable now and it seems to work well

While the regular short thin Apple lightning cable that comes with every iPhone is utter crap, their expensive 6 foot lightning cable is actually very good. I've never had long term luck with 3rd party MIFI certified cables for long. They work fine in the beginning, but eventually I experience error messages and poor connections due to a looser fit of the plug mating to the iPhone.
In my experience, cheaper 3rd party cables (and apple's short lightening cable) are either more expensive in the long run or more unreliable. The only cable I'll buy from here on out is the very expensive 6 footer Apple sells
