MP 1,1-5,1 how big is it

I just looked at buying a upgrade processor kit for my 2012 MacPro the 12 core 3.46 model but when I asked the sales guy the size of the box he said that he cant give me that information due to it being christmas .......strange
Anyway I have a friend coming to Thailand from the US and he wants to know how big it is as he would put it in his checked in luggage.........anyone have an idea

That is extremely expensive for what you get. You can buy the same thing on eBay for around half the price (or at worst, a bit more than half).

To verify, you have only a single processor in your 2012 Mac Pro now?

I bought it already. I bit the bullet and paid $270 bucks shipping as well. I can confirm my current machine only has one 6 core processor and 4 memory slots. I also bought 128gb of ram. Hopefully it will run a little faster

The tray is not that big and would fit in luggage. However OWC (macsales) packages them in very large boxes with lots of foam, and that ain't fitting in luggage.

I've ordered it already and they are shipping it to me in Thailand so don't need to worry about the size any more.
