How bulky is the 11” iPad Pro with ASK compared to the old 10.5 with ASK?

9to5Mac made a good video on how bulky the iPad Pro with ASK is.

I’m of the opinion the Pro has the opposite problem - its so thin it bends.

I have a silicone back cover on my 10.5 Pro with ASK. It is bulkier than the 11 with ASK folio.

If you don’t go out of your way to bend it, it will not bend.

I have the 9.7 and i guess the old one is bulker with a front and back on. But I strongly prefer the old origami keyboard over the new one where youre folding it back and touching the keys when you hold it.

What if you put it in a backpack?

Good point. In my last office we had two people with 11” iPads who claimed that they bent while being carried around.

Other than that the forum has seen its share of users who received the decoy bent already.

Me too! I really didn't like the keyboard folio.

Yup the folio is a large reason why I’d rather not step up from my 2017 iPP 12.9. I currently have the older Apple Smart Keboard attached to the front and the back is from Logitech (came with the Logitech keyboard). I like the combo since the back has a kickstand and a loop for the pencil. Being able to pull the keyboard off on the fly and use a kickstand is killer. I do it every morning when I get ready - I hang my iPP on a towel rack in the bathroom and play video blogs while shaving/getting ready.

I can't speak to the 10.5, but I regularly carry my 11 iPP in a computer bag or a purse. It would probably be okay in a backpack, but I'm paranoid; I would probably want to put it in a protective sleeve first.
