In all honestly I came into the thread expecting to see "Apple has disabled all third-party applications. Only apps specifically made by Apple will now run on your iPhone Mac Pro Edition"
A Mac Pro and an iPhone are two different things. One is a desktop computer, the other is a, well, phone. Two different operating systems. Two different App stores. There are protections in the Mac App Store in that you have to go through hoops to install software from unidentified developers.
Maybe in September. Been rumor (can't recall if announced in past WWDCs) that Apple is working on a way to allow developers to create apps that will work on both iOS and MacOS. Will know Monday.
ADD: several stories out there re: expecting Apple to realize Marzipan to the developer community. Aka, the tool to port iOS apps to MacOS.
