How can i allow an mp3 to be downloaded on an iweb site

ATM all i can do is play the audio file from the site with the iweb quicktime player

Please help me if you can

Select the text that you want to turn into a link, and click the "Link" tab from the Inspector, and choose "Link To: A File." From there just choose the song.

If you want the file to be downloadable you will need to inform the user to right click the link and select "save as".

If not most people will click the link and their browser will play it.

You can also ZIP the file which in-turn will force a download of the file.

Not really. An MP3 in a ZIP is going to be nearly the same size as the MP3 itself. MP3s are about as compressed as they can be.

Your right, i just tryed it on a 2.7mb MP3, the ZIP was the same size
